CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
ASCOA is pleased to announce a conference on marine debris and plastic pollution to be held in Cameroon on 4th August 2023, the conference will bring together scientists, researchers, policymakers, environmentalists, industry experts, and stakeholders to discuss the current state of marine debris and plastic pollution in Cameroon, as well as practical solutions to address this global issue.
We invite interested individuals and organizations to submit abstracts for oral and poster presentations, focusing on topics such as:
- The impact of plastic pollution on marine ecosystems and biodiversity
- Innovative solutions to reduce plastic waste in coastal communities
- The role of policy and regulation in addressing marine debris and plastic pollution
- Community-based approaches to combat plastic pollution in Cameroon’s rivers and coastal zones

- The economic costs of marine debris and plastic pollution in Cameroon
- The importance of waste management and recycling in reducing plastic pollution in urban areas
